Terms of Use
These are the terms for using Elluna. They're short and in plain English on purpose. Using the app means you accept them.
What Elluna does
Elluna generates cosy, custom bedtime stories using AI, and can narrate them aloud. Story text is unlimited on the free tier. Narration is limited (a small lifetime allowance of free narrations to try the app, then a subscription unlocks ongoing narration with a reasonable monthly credit cap so the service stays sustainable).
Acceptable use
- Elluna is for personal use with a child you care for. It is not a tool for generating commercial content, training other AI systems, or producing material to distribute publicly.
- Don't try to bypass paywalls, share or reuse subscription identifiers across people who haven't paid, or run automated scripts against the service.
- Don't enter content into the form that's intended to generate violent, sexual, or otherwise inappropriate material. The system actively filters these, but we expect good faith.
AI-generated content
Stories are written by AI models on demand. They're tuned for a wholesome, calming bedtime tone, and we run a safety filter on top. The output is generally lovely, but AI can produce unexpected results. You're the adult in the room: please read new stories first if your child is sensitive to particular themes, and if something feels off, just regenerate.
You own the stories generated for you — we don't claim copyright over them. Use them with your family freely.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Elluna verifies Apple StoreKit purchase records to manage entitlement state. Pricing, billing periods, taxes, and refunds are handled by Apple — refund requests go through Apple. Cancelling a subscription stops future charges and keeps Pro access until the end of the current period.
Pro includes a generous monthly soft cap to keep narration usage in the range the price level supports. You'll see a friendly notice if you exceed it; a much higher monthly hard cap exists to bound runaway use. Neither cap is intended to get in the way of normal nightly bedtime use.
Availability
Elluna depends on third-party AI providers. If they have an outage, narration or story generation may pause temporarily. We do our best to keep things running, but uptime is commercially reasonable, not absolute. Subscriptions are not prorated for short outages.
Liability
Elluna is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for incidental or consequential losses arising from the use or inability to use the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by us).
Changes
We may update these terms occasionally. The "last updated" date will move; significant changes will be flagged in-app on next launch. Continuing to use Elluna after a change means you accept the updated terms.
